WHAT IS THE ARK?

The ARK of St. Sabina offers a variety of free services to countless youth and families in the community. Our goal is to develop each youth holistically, in an effort to help every child reach their full potential.

Reverend Michael L. Pfleger named “The ARK” to symbolize a safe haven for at-risk youth. The ARK serves between 70-120 youth on a daily basis in Englewood and Auburn-Gresham at no cost.

The ARK staff implements a multifaceted approach to impact youth in the community, as well as members of their families. From education to employment, the ARK offers a vast array of opportunities and programs for youth and young adults ages 6 – 28.

The ARK services over 2,000 youth and families each year through their after school program, summer camp, and outreach events.  These services are provided Monday-Saturday to individuals in the surrounding West Englewood, Englewood, and Auburn Gresham communities at no cost to them and their families.
