ARK Mentor
Position Summary
The ARK Mentor will be responsible for monitoring the youth who participate in the daily activities of the ARK. The ARK Monitor should model the positive respectful behavior the ARK promotes to each youth participant
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor the youth who engage in various ARK programs.
Lead various academic, cultural, and social activities for the youth.
Keep attendance records for various youth activities.
Maintain and promote a safe environment amongst the youth.
Attend monthly staff meetings, and trainings.
Help to ensure that the ARK rules and regulations are adhered to by the youth.
Other duties as assigned.
ARK TUTOR
Position Summary
Tutors will guide students toward academic and personal excellence. Tutors will be active participants in the learning, growth, and personal development of students with the goal of preparing students to reach the next level of education successfully.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Must assist youth with subjects in English, Reading, Math, and Science.
Collect report cards quarterly for each participant enrolled in tutoring program.
Offer assistance with developing study strategies.
Work with the student to develop a tutoring plan that fits the student’s individual needs.
Prepare tutoring sessions to ensure the student’s academic development.
Assess student progress throughout tutoring sessions.
Other duties as assigned.
